2010  OMTTC  SPRING FLING

Table Tennis Tournament

Saturday  April 17 th, 2010 – La Vista (Omaha, Ne)

Hosted and organized by the Omaha Metro Table Tennis Club sponsored by Stiga

 

 

LOCATION:     Faith Presbyterian Church, 8100 Giles Rd, La Vista, Ne.  68128,   Church Phone:  402 331 6944.

                        (On NW corner of 8100 & Giles Rd)    Upper level Gym.     Floor: Tile on concrete.

 

ELIGIBILITY:   This is an unsanctioned tournament and is open to everyone.  Age is determined as of tournament date.

 

EQUIPMENT:  Double Happiness 3-star Orange balls will be used.  Playing on 5 Stiga Expert and 3 Joola tables.

 

CLOTHING:    Clothing must conform to the USATT dress code. Solid colored shirt and shorts (not orange),                                              Shoes must have non-marking soles.

 

RULES:           Players rackets must conform to USATT rules. The tournament director will have the final judgment on matters of playing eligibility. All USATT regulations apply.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE:  Entries must be received by Thursday, April 15th.  Please include payment with entry.  Entry fees will be returned if you cancel by Thursday, April 15th.   Giant RR event is limited to the first 40 entries.

 

REGISTRATION:      We will open for Check-in and warm-up at 8:15 AM Saturday, April 17th.   You need to check-in one half hour before your first event.

ENTRY FEES:          Giant RR = $15     U3400 Dbls RR = $10 / team     Hardbat RR = $5     60 + = $5

 

AWARDS:                Classic “legacy” marble trophies for first and second in all events plus cash awards for first and                                       second in hardbat, 60+, U3400 Dbls, A and B singles.  (Amounts to be determined by # of entries.)

 

EVENT FORMATS:  U3400 doubles – RR    combined rating of players.   (Tournament committee may estimate ratings.)                 

                                

                                  Hardbat singles - RR   (no sponge – no long pips)                                                           

 

                                  60 + singles – RR        players must be 60 years old or older as of tournament date.                                                              

 

                                  Giant RR – Begins with a breakdown round robin to determine skill level and placement.   Players then placed into classes A, B, C, D, or E.   Each class plays a RR.   First and second RR class winners play crossovers and the finalists play off for class first and second.

                                (Class E may be eliminated if too few entries received.)  (This event limited to the first 40 entries)

 

All matches to be best 3 of 5 eleven-point games.                     

 

NOTE: The tournament director reserves the right to modify or cancel any event due to the number of entries.
